A graduate of the University of Kansas, Mr. Mandigo practiced law in Wichita, Kansas, developing a specialty in securities law.   In the early 1970’s he left the practice of law to become the General Counsel of a publicly traded E&P company in Wichita, Energy Reserves Group, eventually becoming President. The company was acquired by BHP in 1984 and was renamed BHP Petroleum Americas, where he stayed for 2 more years. From1986 to 1991 Mr. Mandigo served as CEO of NYSE listed Intelogic Trace, Inc., a San Antonio based company providing nationwide support for information systems. In 1992 he began investing in early stage companies, including Horizon Organic Dairy, Physician Corporation of America and Palmer Wireless, serving on their boards of directors guiding them through initial public offerings.   He has also served on the board of directors of Lone Star Steakhouse & Saloon and numerous other listed companies. Currently Mr. Mandigo owns and operates 40 franchised restaurants, Papa John’s, Genghis Grill and Jimmy John’s, in 3 states.
