Operations Associate (Kansas City)

The Operations Associate is responsible for the overall health of Frontier’s back office and must place extreme importance on the delivery of accurate and timely data. This individual will report to Frontier’s Director of Operations and will assist the Operations Specialist in oversight of the day-to-day operations for the firm. This role has a unique blend of tasks pertaining to operations, client service, processes and technology. One who can master this will do so by being extremely detailed, structured, process-oriented, analytical, and have a high degree of follow-through and communication skills.

Responsibilities/Roles:

  • Liaison between Frontier and our outsourced back office team
  • Daily maintenance of the portfolio management system
  • Generate quarterly billing and performance reports for clients
  • Oversight of tasks relating to Alternative Investments
  • Process custodial trades on behalf of advisors
  • Create Firm-wide diagnostic reports for Management Team
  • Billing reconciliation and tracking of outstanding revenue
  • Continual enhancement of our technology offering to drive firm and client adoption
  • Assistance with specific compliance reports and maintenance of compliance software
  • Creation of process workflows to drive operational efficiency
  • Design and implementation of our evolving technology stack


Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Experience working with Tamarac (Reporting and/or Trading)
  • Experience with Data Aggregation vendors (Quovo and/or ByAll Accounts)
  • Securities 65 License
  • Detail-orientated and analytical with the ability to organize data and think critically “on-the-spot”
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Comfortable with sophisticated technology software programs
  • Positive attitude with the ability to coach, desire to learn, and effectively manage change
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Team player, results driven, “get-it-done” attitude


Bonus Qualifications/Skills:

  • Experience working with the following types of software systems: CRM, Portfolio Management System, Rebalancer, Document Management System and Risk Profiling
  • Experience working with Schwab Advisor Center or TD Ameritrade
