Senior Wealth Advisor
Prior to joining Frontier Wealth Management, Richard was the founder of Comprehensive Personal Financial Advisors (CPFA), a full-service financial planning firm serving the needs of wealthy individuals. Richard brings extensive experience in investment management, estate planning, retirement planning, and income tax planning and return preparation.
“I am passionate about what I do because I get to work with and learn from really nice, successful people.”
Prior to CPFA, Richard spent nine years with Price Waterhouse as a Senior Manager in the Personal Financial Specialists practice. This division was devoted to tax and financial planning for executives and wealthy clients. While at Price Waterhouse, he conducted hundreds of educational seminars for executives of Fortune 500 companies in all areas of personal financial planning.
Richard left Price Waterhouse in 1992 to become the Director of a Chicago-area family office. While in Chicago, he also served as Director of Consulting Services for the Family Office Exchange, a consulting firm specializing in best practices for creating and operating family offices.
Richard attended Texas Tech University, where he earned a bachelor of business administration in accounting, Summa Cum Laude, master’s degrees in oil and gas accounting and management, and in taxation. He is a member of the Financial Planning Association, American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Colorado Society of Certified Public Accountants.
Richard is also associated with Otto Aviation Group as a Board Member and the Director of Corporate Development.
Richard enjoys fly-fishing, hiking and golfing. Richard used to play basketball, then he coached basketball and now he just criticizes basketball players on television. He is quick to point out that he still holds the single-season, free-throw percentage record (92%) for Littlefield High School.
